One of my favorite times of the day, on Monday, Wednesday and Friday, is the last 10 minutes of my workout session. This may sound totally retarded, but whatever. I endearingly refer to those 10 minutes as, “nap-time.” After 30-90 minutes of running, then a 60 minute workout, I get to just lay there on … Continue reading The little things→
There was a great section in this month’s issue of Wired, called “How to Behave: New Rules for Highly Evolved Humans.” The article discusses all types of tech related etiquette, like texting during parties, leaving your handheld on the bar, etc.. But, my favorite is the one about the bluetooth headsets. Thank you thank you … Continue reading If even the geeks think its tacky, you know its bad→
Yesterday, New York City finally decided to slip out of the extremely pleasant and mild mid-80’s, low humidity, straight into the dog days. I went for a very short run last night (14 minutes long) solely for the purpose of calibrating my new sportband, when I got home from work. It literally took me over … Continue reading Soupy Weather→
Timing has not been my forte, today. First I had the train incident, this morning. Then, as luck (or lack thereof) would have it, the only 10 minutes that mother nature decides to make it rain today, occurred right as I walked outside to go get a passport photo taken. As a result, any and … Continue reading Passport Rain→
This weekend was full of inanities and insanities, as usual. Two of Reagan’s good friends from high school came to visit, beginning Thursday. One of them became very ill on Friday and headed home to DC. Reagan’s not-sick friend hung out with us until Saturday afternoon. Friday night, Reagan and Terrah (Reagan’s not-sick friend) came … Continue reading Le Weekend→
I’m hopping on the nerd train for this post. Ok, I guess that I always have at least one foot on the nerd train (despite my attempts to act like I don’t). I have been extremely busy for the last little while, in just about every area. There have been a few moments that were … Continue reading Personal Operating System and Search Engine→
Today started off great. The sun was shining through the curtains, when I woke up. The birds were chirping, etc. I went down to CP to shoot this race before church, and got an email, while I was there, that some stuff was going to be happening at work today. The race was awesome. I … Continue reading Jammed up at work→
This weekend ended up being a lot better than I had initially anticipated. There was, of course the race on Saturday morning, which I was expecting to be the highlight of my weekend. I thought this because I was expecting to have to work, for the rest of the weekend. I did spend Saturday afternoon, … Continue reading Happy June→
Fleet week is here. There has been a steady stream of US Navy ships sailing past our building all day long. As annoying as it can be, having the city full of rowdy sailors, watching all of the ships come by has actually been pretty cool.
Reagan will generally try to push some food on me, as I’m on my way out the door in the mornings. Today, she talked me into bringing this grapefruit to work. Since I took it out of my bag this morning, I have been enjoying the way that is smells so much that I can’t … Continue reading Citrus Aroma→
