Wally and Pete flew in late Wednesday night (late). That didn’t stop us from getting up with the Sun, on Thursday to pack in a full day. We started out (after seeing Piper) in lower Manhattan. Here is a shot of My dad and brother Pete, at Alexander Hamilton’s grave (at Trinity Church). How funny … Continue reading Revolutionary War Sites→
^—–Reagan sitting in an old cannon installation on Governor’s Island Reagan read this great article in Time Out NY, earlier this month about Governor’s Island. I had been reading random things about it on Gothamist for the past couple of months as well. We finally decided to check it out today. When I say check … Continue reading Governor’s Island→
Okay, this race was awesome for several reasons. First of all, The Hardies and the Tolberts were there. Second of all, I asked Zack if he wouldn’t mind shooting the race for the Examiner article. He obliged. Linda, actually contributed as well. Dude, the shots turned out amazing. Zach has some skills. He got some … Continue reading Run for Central Park 4 Mile Race→
For the last 3 years, Reagan and I have tried to attend the NY Philharmonic show on the Great Lawn at CP. The first year, Reagan went down to the park early with one of our friends to try to get some good position. About then, a full on monsoon ripped through midtown, and they … Continue reading Symphony and Fireworks→
A lot of the time, commuting sucks. Especially when going all of the way from one end of the island, to the other, twice a day. This morning, for example, I needed to be in a bit early. So I made sure to get out the door at a reasonable hour. My efforts were, however, … Continue reading Balloons on the Subway→
I opted out of the the 5k, this morning, so that I would have plenty of energy for the longboard race, in Central Park. Dude-ahhh, it was bananas. Around 100 people showed. It was super chaotic and fun. We started in the south west corner of the park and did one loop on Central Park … Continue reading Saturdizzle→
We went for a little stroll in Ft. Tryon last night, so that Reagan’s parent’s could check it out. We were heading to the lower terrace to check out the arches, and heard some hippies playing drums. Those hippies turned out to be our friends (who aren’t really hippies), hahahahaha. So we ended up hanging … Continue reading Homies in the park→
Fleet week is here. There has been a steady stream of US Navy ships sailing past our building all day long. As annoying as it can be, having the city full of rowdy sailors, watching all of the ships come by has actually been pretty cool.
This was a super fun race. Reagan and I both loved it. The finish line was right outside the entrance to my building. So it was super convenient for us. Our friend Jared came down and ran it with us too. He and Reagan actually finished together. Reagan’s goal was 23 minutes. Mine was 20 … Continue reading AHA NYRR Wall Street Run→
We had a pretty good weekend, considering that it was supposed to continue to rain all day Saturday. Apparently, mother nature was able to get it all out of her system early that day, because it actually shaped up to be a pretty nice little weekend, weather-wise after Saturday morning. Reagan cut hair in the … Continue reading Weekendities→
