I have been up to plenty of good

You may have noticed that things have been relatively quiet on Jake’s New Blog, this week. When this happens, it is generally because I’m feeling lazy, uninspired, or unmotivated. None of these have been the case, this week. I have just been flat out too busy to spend any of my time updating this page. Not in a bad way, either.

I have been shooting a ton of cool stuff (not including the image above, which is a leftover from t-day). I’m hoping that I can share some of it on here, soon. If not, I’m sure that it will show up on shotbyjake at some point. My brother Sam headed back west on Wednesday. Reagan and I were both bummed to see him go. But, we were able to take comfort in the fact that he will most likely be moving out here, possibly as early as the spring.

We have a banger of a weekend on tap. Not to sound like Frank the tank, but tomorrow we are headed to Ikea (not bed bath and beyond or home depot), early in the morning. Then probably straight to Piper’s house.  Sunday, we will be attending the wedding of one of Reagan’s hair clients. From the sounds of it, the wedding is going to be pretty fancy. Somewhere in the mix, we are going to try to shoot a small photo story in a bodega. I’m hoping that we can pull it off. It was Reagan’s idea, and I really like it.

Have a great weekend!

  1. You *have* been up to plenty of good! Hooray for the good stuff coming up, too — especially Uncle Sam moving to NYC.

I laughed out loud at the Frank the Tank reference. We’ve used that one a lot since we got married.

Have a great weekend! We’re looking forward to seeing some awesome photo posts.

  2. I can’t wait to see the pics, have fun!

  3. the bed bath & beyond/home depot quote is probably one of the most quoted-quotes from me & mr.a’s marriage. and mr.a is one quoting mothereffer.* we’re married, semi-suburbanites, so… i guess we like our big box stores. luckily, we also like raunchy comedies.

*i’m not sure i’ve EVER used that term, mothereffer, but it just seemed right.

  4. “ear-muffs” is a close-second.
