Yesterday, Reagan and I both did our part, in contributing to the progression of modern society’s shift toward the robot ruled future depicted in the Matrix. We did this by purchasing some fancy pedometers. We had been checking out the Nikeplus stuff for a while. A couple of our friends have them, and one of my cousins has blogged about how awesome hers is. We had been trying to decide whether to buy the ones that interface with the Ipod Nano, or the self contained wrist bands. Since neither of us currently own Nano’s but already have a larger than 2 to 1 Ipod to human ratio in our household, we went with the wristbands. I picked them up yesterday and I was so excited that I took a quick jog last night, to try it out. I did this despite the fact that I had just eaten a footlong subway sandwich loaded with jalapenos. I wouldn’t recommend doing the same. Anyway, when I got home and plugged it in, it really was just as awesome as everyone says it is. As dumb as it sounds, I’m about 1000 percent more motivated to be more diligent about running, now that I can come home each time and look at the squiggly green line.
