Another notch in Piper’s belt

by

It probably goes without saying that there was a lot of uneasiness and tension, in connection with Piper’s move today. We have been butting heads so hard with Columbia, and Blythedale was acutely aware of how unhappy Reagan and I were, with the idea of Piper going back to them. I have to admit that I was feeling a lot of anxiety about the whole transaction. When we got to Columbia this morning, there was quite a bit of tension in the air. Reagan gave Piper a quick sponge bath and changed her into a cute outfit for the move. After that, we just waited for the transport. When they arrived, I went ahead, in the car, so that Reagan could ride with Piper. When the ambulance showed up at Blythedale, I began holding my breath and preparing myself for a very chilly reception. To our amazement, and pleasant surprise, everyone was super cool to us. They allowed us to speak very frankly with them about the concerns that we had, from Piper’s previous stay with them. We were able to take a considerable amount of reassurance from their words, and simply from the fact that Piper handled the transition so seamlessly. Piper was goofing off pretty much from the moment they got her on the new vent and situated in her bed. Then she fell asleep before we even finished the paperwork. God willing, all of the government paperwork will be processed soon, and the pecuniary aspect of things will also be resolved. Thanks to everyone who has been thinking of us, over the last couple of days. It makes such a huge difference, knowing that we have people who care so much about Piper and about the issues Reagan and I have been facing, in trying to make sure she is receiving the care she needs. We took a ton of pictures of her move today, but Reagan has the camera, so I will put them up later tonight. For now, here are crappy ones that I took with my phone.

As a final side note: Yesterday, Reagan asked me to post more stuff about her, because she likes reading about herself. So I would just like to say that Reagan is the hottest, funniest, most funnerest, craziest (in an acceptable, entertaining way) wife that a person could ever hope for.
