I love ORage Crush. Pop Song 89 is somehow my favorite REM. But man, Michael Stipe is looking OLD. (That trendy beard is making him look like Sigmund Freud or Charles Darwin or Robert E. Lee – all grey beards.)

This post has me reminiscing about seeing R.E.M. during their 1989 Green World Tour. (I had to look that up, sheesh.)
It was my first concert with assigned seating and no mosh pit.
I was confuzzed.
If you really wanted to impress him, you could have told him your nieces live in Decatur Georgia (his home town).
