Shoot me

Feel free to skip this post. It is nothing more than a long complaint. I am sick for the 9000000th time, this year. I knew it was going to happen when my office mate came in coughing her lungs out last Thursday. It is a little bit ridiculous. I was supposed to run 11 miles Wednesday morning. When I woke up sneezing at 2:30 and couldn’t go back to sleep, I realized it wasn’t going to happen. I was hoping that it was just allergies. But somewhere around noon, when I was still blowing my nose every 5 minutes, I knew I was in trouble. After work, I was supposed to go out with Reagan and some friends to a movie that she scored some tickets to. Instead, I stayed home, did laundry and took a photo.  Initially I was going to try to get a shot of the lightning going on outside, but decided that I didn’t have the patience or energy at the moment. So, instead I took a super exciting shot of my B-berries sitting on my desk.

I’m supposed to do a 21 mile run on Saturday and the Hartford marathon in 2 weeks. I’m kind of freaking out.

  1. I have an under the weather husband too right now who is feeling really down about it. Here’s too all the husbands feeling better by the weekend 🙂

  2. Oh no! This is terrible news. I can understand your feeling frustrated and defeated and freaked out. Rest, rest, rest! And slurp lots of chicken soup. We’re sending get well wishes.

  3. Ohhh, try to relax and rest. Take ton of fluids and vitamins. I hope you feel better soon, so you can train again for the marathon…

BTW, is one of your BB – is that Torch??? (I’m missing my BB so bad!)

  4. TWO blackberries?! Cripes man. No wonder you’re stressed!

Congrats to you n Reagan both on the Philly race – hooray for meeting your goals!

Races and movies and whatnot aside, you gotta get better soon so you can be the photographer for the Piper Runway Extravaganza that Reagan promised us Pip junkies! 😉

  5. Thanks, guys! I’m actually doing a lot better today, already (or maybe it is just the Dayquil, haha).

@Maki: Thx! I use the BB 8900 (I think) for work, then the Bold 9700 for pleasuahhh. Hehe

@Becki D.: So true! As long as my index finger works, we should be in good shape for Piper’s fashion show. Hahah

  6. Glad you’re feeling a little better today. Dayquil (and chips I guess) can do that.

What I want to know is, ware those glasses yours or Reagan’s?

  7. @michelle: Thx, Michelle. The glasses are mine. They are supposed to lessen the strain on my eyes, from staring at a monitor 1000 hours per day. But here is a sweet shot of Reagan wearing them

  8. One word (that’s not really a word…): EMERGEN-C. Seriously, I chug that powdery goodness in August, anticipating the Petri dish that is elementary school. Throw it in your smoothie, or your bottled water, or whatever drink that suits your purpose.

(Will you laugh if I say that it makes an awesome addition to vodka cranberry? Oh, well… 🙂

Airborne works, too, but you’ll get more bang for your buck chugging Emergen-C the minute you feel a bit icky.

    Feel better!

    (And… Blackberry much?)

  9. lol – that shot of Reagan wearing your glasses is awesome.
