Piper had a busy weekend, too.

When we arrive at Piper’s room on Saturday, she was having a party with some friends. One of Piper’s nurses had come in on her day off, and brought her mom (from out of town) to hang out with the kids that she takes care of. Isn’t that cool?! Piper was loving it. She had toys spread all over the floor and was having a blast. After her friends left to make some other visits, Piper continued on, in her playful mood, jumping all over the place and smiling like crazy.  That is, until she accidentally pulled one of the hoses loose from her vent. It started alarming, but we couldn’t figure out where the leak was until Piper was already blue, and we were having to bag her. Luckily we were able to get her back to a nice color of pink fairly quickly. But, the ordeal was enough to tucker Piper out. As soon as we got her vent running right again, and Piper attached to it, she put her hands over both eyes and promptly fell right to sleep.

Today I finally scanned in one of the polaroids that we took last week (below). No big deal. Just Piper being adorable in the monkey pajamas. Hahaha.

  1. I can’t get over the shot with Pip’s hands over her eyes. She is SO CUTE!

  2. Polaroid sweetness.
I am inspired by retro. Have you ever shot with a Holga? Very cool and random to play with old cameras and film types.
I love my digital but when I see pictures like your polaroid those are the ones that have real depth!

  3. @Susan: I haven’t really done much with a Holga. Reagan bought one a couple of years ago, and still uses it occasionally. We actually just discovered the that Canon speedlights will work in the Holga hot shoe. Reagan got excited about that and may start using it again. Agreed though, the Polaroid shots have an element that cannot be replicated by any sort of digital filters.
