La Musica Coolica #76 (Deee-Lite)

I have  loved these guys since high school. I re-discovered them a few months ago when I was making a Pandora station. Tuesday is almost over (and it is either this cop-out or miss another week of LMC), so that is all I’m going to write about Deee-Lite. Also, I don’t know who to give credit for the photo. I knicked it from their myspace page. Surely you have heard “Groove is in the Heart.” Here it is again.

  1. I am in LOVE with Dee-Lite. This album was one of my first cd’s ever, and I now even have it on cassette, which I know seems like a downgrade, but my car only has a tape player so for me it was a total upgrade. My dad and I used to have an inside joke about this song…he’ll say to me, “Dig!” or “Astronomical!” or “I-i-i-i-i”. I guess it’s not that funny but my mom never knew what the hell we were talking about so that was fun.
