Pretty stoked about this new bad boy. My homey Zach, the CEO of V&F Enterprises, pre-ordered two 7Ds (planning to cancel his order on which ever one did not arrive first) that arrived the same day. He was looking for someone to take the superfluous unit off of his hands. I was more than happy to oblige. I will be christening it tomorrow night at an event I’m shooting for SoJones. I’m thinking that this thing should tide me over until the the 5D mkIII comes out (or until I win the lottery [or both]).

Of all the things you’ve posted on this blog since I started reading it last summer, this has truly made me the most jealous. Sigh. 😉
It’s an impressive piece of kit and I’m currently debating my next Canon DSLR purchase between a 50D (or maybe 60D at that point) and this bad boy. Comes down to whether or not I want to spend $1200 or $2000 on a body.
I hope you truly enjoy the new camera!
oh you dog! you’re going to love shooting with this.
@Andre LeFort: Thanks, Andre! I have been checking out foodpads, as well. It looks like you guys have some serious skills in the kitchen. I hear you, on the camera debate. It is a tough decision. I probably wouldn’t have upgraded yet, if the opportunity hadn’t presented itself.
@dan: Yeah, I’m pretty pumped about it.
