Piper Jane’s October, so far

The bottoms of Piper’s feet are much cuter than the bottoms of mine, Hehe.  Both times that we saw Piper, this weekend, she was on trache-collar, and fell asleep shortly after we arrived. Sometimes it’s not bad to just have her snuggle up and nap on your lap. Today, though, we lucked out and she woke up after napping for about an hour. She went back on the vent, and suddenly wanted to play like crazy! We seriously had a blast with her. She was smiling practically the whole time. She found a leak in her trache, and was making a lot of noise (with her vocal cords). At one point, she was laying on my lap, while Reagan was goofing around, and I swear, Piper was laughing! It was the cutest thing I have ever seen, in my life.

She was standing and dancing around the whole time that I was playing with her. I feel like she is getting really close to being able to do some assisted walking. I know that it is something that they work with her on, during therapy. I was extremely content to have such a rewarding visit with out little girl today. I’m still smiling about it.
