I had some time on my hands last night, so I decided to modify Jakesnewblog a little bit. I widened it out to 950px and dropped in another mini-sidebar on the left. I also extended the width of the slide show banner by 150px. Since I had the pictures all cropped to a specific size for the former dimensions, I traded some new pictures into the rotation. I’m pretty happy with it so far. Let me know if you come across any glitches.

Jake, your blog is sweet. It’s nice to see someone actually take the time to design their blog instead of just using the default templates (ahem, kind of luck us.) Let’s definitely kick it again…before I need another haircut.
I like the new design. I should do something different with mine. I’ve found so few people are using the 800×600 resolution anymore. 90% are using 1020 or wider.
@Ryan McCoy: Totally true. I like dynamic width the best. But with all of the crap that I pack onto this page, it gets a bit jumbled unless I keep it fixed.
