Mom, Mimi, Moma

I hate it when I take a few days off, from writing. I feel like there is always so much to catch up on.

Saturday afternoon, my mom and sister Mimi flew in to hang out with Piper. We were able to have really good visits with Piper all 3 days that they were here.

For Mimi, this was the first time meeting Piper. I feel like they hit it off pretty well. For my mom, it has been a while since she has been able to visit Piper. It was very satisfying for them both to be able to see Piper in such good condition, and full of energy. Especially since, the last time my mom visited, Piper was not doing very well. It was really fun to watch Piper interact with her grandma and auntie.

Other highlights included:

-Fantastic Indian Summer weather both Sunday and Monday.

-Reagan and I both taking the day off Monday.

-Getting in an early morning run at the CP reservoir, as the came up.

-Eating lunch at Pop Burger

-Seeing “Starry Night” at the Moma. There is a VanGogh exhibit through Jan. 3rd. I highly recommend it. Unfortunately, there was no photography allowed in the VanGogh exhibit. But we got plenty of pics of Warhol’s work.

-Taking a break, after the Picasso exhibit.

Of course we capped off the perefect 3-day weekend by pigging out on pizza last night. I was able to throw back 7 slices. I haven’t had a chance to post the pictures in our photo blog yet. But I will do my best to get them up by the end of the week.
