Man, that weekend went by fast. I feel like I have been totally off the grid since Thursday afternoon. It’s not a bad thing. We had such a blast with Sarah, Jessie and their kids. This is a picture of me and Maya waiting for the 1 train. Riding the train was one of the top things on her list of activities, while visiting. She did not appear to be disappointed.
Friday morning we all went to visit Piper. I’m going to write about that in a different post.
The rest of the day, we spent, just kind of hanging out, until the evening, when we went to a park so that the girls could play on the playground.
Saturday, after having waffles for breakfast, we set out early to hit some more playgrounds and goof off at the cloisters.
Maya loved stomping around in the leaves. Sophie just loved not being stuck inside, or strapped into a car seat.
We got back in time to watch some college football before we had to pick up the cupcakes for my b-day party. I was very pleased that the University of Utah was able to pick up a big win on the road this weekend at Colorado State, to remain undefeated. BYU didn’t play Saturday. It wasn’t a bye week, it was because they had their trash kicked by TCU Thursday night. Sorry Suckaaazzzz. Fantastic.
Saturday night, Reagan threw a birthday party for me. It was a lot of fun to have so many of our friends come over and celebrate with us. I was having such a good time that I didn’t even get one picture! Crap! Oh well. I just wish that I would have had the camera out for the part when Carl got naked and started tossing around raw fish. Ok, Carl didn’t really do that, but it would have been awesome. Maybe something to keep in mind for the Halloween party.
Sunday, we had another Piper visit, then took Maya for a train ride. We hung out in CP for a little while until it got too cold, then headed home again and watched MotoGP. Since we don’t really get to see our family very often (especially the ones that reside in Alaska), it was really hard to send them off this morning. We took a lot of pictures. You can check them out here.

Whoa, for a second there I thought I missed getting naked and throwing around raw fish. I was about to ask what was in those cupcakes that made me forget such and eventful evening. However, the biggest surprise for me was learning that Jake is such a country music fan. I would have never guessed that one.
I looved looking at the pics! thanks for posting. there are some really sweet ones of you all holding the baby outside. so cool.
