Homegrown Avocado

by

About a month ago, I threw an avocado pit into one of our plant pots, mostly just to be funny, but partially as an experiment. I remember when I was little, we would put tooth pics in them, and suspend them in cups on the window sill in the kitchen until they would sprout. Then, we would throw them away. Well, I kind of forgot about the little guy that I tossed in the plant pot, and we now have a baby tree in our kitchen. The thing seems to be growing at the rate of about an inch per day. I took these pictures over the weekend. It is probably 18 inches tall. I’m not really sure what we are going to do. It isn’t like we can just Murder the avocado tree. I hope that it doesn’t takeover the pot and kill the other plant. I guess we will just have to wait and see how this thing plays out.

  1. That’s funny. I cannot wait to show this to my wife. I do that with all my pits and she thinks im nuts. I put them in my palm tree on the deck. I do it with pretty much everything I can though. Right now have a huge potato plant growing the palm tree. I have a bug pot that i am going to try and transplant it into.
