Cute lil, Peej

We had such a fun visit with Piper this morning. It was good especially in lieu of my run this morning being a total bust. I felt like crap the whole time. My pedometer got hung up at 3 miles, and I didn't notice until it had already been stuck for about 45 minutes. When I saw what was going on, I restarted the watch. So it only recorded about 7.5 of the 12 miles I did today. This, coupled with the fact that it was about 100% humidity and I was dying of heat because my sweat wouldn't evaporate, had me in low spirits. Piper on the other hand is clearly having a fantastic day. She has been smiling like crazy. She is also finally starting to overcome her aversion to having non-finger objects in her mouth. We observed her, several times putting her toys in her mouth today. Hooray for that. That is one of the nice things about having her in a quasi sterile environment. We don't really have to worry about her picking up some dirty object from the ground and putting it in her mouth. Anyway, I'm getting totally amped for the Utah/Michigan game, later today. I can't believe the college football season is already here. But I am so happy that it is.
