The latest heatwave in NYC claimed a victim in the Breinholt household. Napoleon, A/K/A Napster, A/K/A Napstar, passed away last night. It was not really surprising, given that it was still probably 110 degrees in our apartment at 1:30 A.M. last night when we returned. Thankfully, the Jacks seem to be fine. Napoleon was a 14″ 4 lb. Tiger Oscar that I raised from the size of about 1″. I have had him since 2003. I know it is pretty nerdy, but I really felt like I had a bond with Napoleon. I taught him how to do some tricks and stuff. It really felt like he was a part of the family. I also feel like he had a personallity. He was like a rowdy little kid. He would re-arange the whole tank, every time I was gone for a few days. He would move everything, including a 50 lb. piece of drift wood. He also liked to dance to music and watch tv with us. Below, is a pic of him watching Reagan play guitar hero. Anyway, this is the 200th post on my new blog. I dedicate it to you, lil’ Napstar.

I’m sorry, jake. If I’d known this was going to happen, I wouldn’t have scolded him so much for watching me change. He was a big part of our family and will be tough to replace. I really have great memories of that lil guy.
Oh my goodness….I am so sorry. We should have went and turned on the AC or something. He was alive Saturday night….this is such a bummer.
So sorry for your loss.
