Crazy Morning

by

Days like today, I feel like pretty much the worst father that ever existed. Of course the day that Piper is finally actually getting the GJ tube installed, is the very same morning that I have a very difficult transaction occurring at work. Reagan and I were both able to be there with Piper this morning, up until they wheeled her into the OR. It is odd the way that you tend to become desensitized to certain things. Even though this is a minor procedure, I’m sure that most people who are unfamiliar with Piper’s situation, would think that Reagan and I are both insane for not quitting our jobs, if that what it takes to be there when she comes out of the OR. I have to say. I’m am definitely feeling that way today also. It is good, however, that since Piper has been through so many things by now, many of them much more invasive, I don’t have that same anxiety that I used to, every time they were wheeling her away. I have come to have a lot of faith and confidence in the doctors at our hospital. Above is a picture of Piper playing and being cute while the staff prepared everything for transport. Below is Piper being wheeled into the OR. Hopefully, when she wakes up, she will be able to get a full feeding without puking. Hang in there squirt.
