I know that it has become a massive cleche, about the weekend being too short, but this one really seemed that way. I’m not really complaining though. I worked from home on Friday, so it was almost like I got a head start on the weekend. Anyway, my absention from non-water beverages was cut short on Friday. I ordered in pizza, since I was working from home, I tacked on a liter of DC to the order. I don’t know about other people, but it just seems wrong to try to drink water with pizza. It is best enjoyed with a carbonated beverage. Did you ever have that time, as a kid when you woke up Saturday morning and made a huge bowl of cereal (I used to use a small mixing bowl) only to find that your fridge was totally devoid of milk? So you try it with Orange Juice, or water or something, and it always just comes out nasty. Anyway, I’m pretty sure that is how it would be if you had pizza with water.
Short Weekend

Reagan had to work on Saturday, so I got stuck flying solo to New Brunswick, to pick up Piper’s belongings. They are booked to capacity currently, and did not want to store her stuff until she goes back. Well, I have been wanting to pick up a new notebook computer since my other one met its demise earlier this year. I have been passively shopping for one, for a couple of weeks. I saw one on the Microcenter site that looked like a pretty good deal. For those of you who aren’t familiar with Microcenter, it is a nerd store. The entire place is like the computer section of any electronics store, on crack. And most of the people there are on crack too, but that is a story for another day. It turns out that Microcenter has a newly opened location in Patterson NJ. So I rolled by there on the way back from New Brunswick. They were sold out of the model that I wanted, but they said that the Westbury location had 7 in stock. I was pretty tired of driving by this point, but I was like, whatever, I’m already out, why not take a quick jaunt to Long Island. For the punch line of this ridiculously boring story, I’m pretty pleased with the new lappy. So is Reagan. It is nice for us to both be able to work on computers at the same time, again. I am hoping for a network game of Scrabble with her again soon.
Today was more crazy spring NY weather. Sun, then intense thunder storm, then sun, repeat. We were supposed to have a little bbq, picnic thingy with some of our friends at Fort Tryon this evening, that was spoiled by the weather mentioned above. So it was moved to someones, house and ended up being a nice little get togther even without the outdoor factor.
After dinner we had a really fun visit with Piper. As I mentioned last week, she currently has a bunch of toys on loan from Stella. Well, there is this hilarious little white aligator, that she for some reason loves. When I visited her last Thursday, she was totally cuddling it when I went in. Today she was playing with it again. We got a couple of shots of her with it. It makes me laugh so hard every time. She is so funny and cute.
