Nice Weather, for Ducks

So, I picked a really good day to start being more positive. It has been pouring rain all day, hahaha. Honestly, I’m not really bothered by it. So I’m not going to complain. I just wanted to illustrate the kind of opposition that I’m up against (yes, that part was a joke). Anyway, Reagan and I had a really fun weekend. Both of our visits with Piper were really fun. She was a little extra snotty lately. We aren’t sure if she is getting a cold, or if she is just having allergies (or something else). Anyway, that was the only factor that detracted from the visits. I actually didn’t even mind that much. Especially because, on Sunday, she was a little bit extra fussy and worn out from whatever it is that is going on. As a result, I was able to get her to fall asleep while holding her, which has been difficult to do lately, especially now that they have her on the caffeine. We took a lot of pictures, as usual, and Reagan took some video of Piper putting her finger in my nose, etc. I’ll make sure to get all of that posted this week. Both nights last weekend we were able to spend with friends, which was really fun. Sunday night made me realize how much I am going to miss Tamara’s home cooking hospitality when they move away.

This coming weekend is the L. I. Marathon. I am getting pretty excited about it. I was thinking about upgrading my registration from the half marathon to the full, on Saturday when we pick up our race packets. But now one of my friends from work is probably going to run it with us. Since he will most likely run at a pace closer to mine than our other friends who are coming, I think that I will just stick with the half. I think that Reagan and I both are going to shoot for running the full 26.2, this fall in Hartford.

Reagan will be in Atlanta this weekend visiting her new little niece Kate. I wish that I could go with her. I have never been able to go to Atlanta with her before. We always have fun hanging out with her sisters. I’m sure that it is going to be a good time for them.

  1. You will just have to come to LA for my mad cooking skills.

  2. You need to man up and do the full marathon.

  3. You wanna come do it with me?
