Someday, I’ll build a time machine, go back to 1963ish and buy this house brand new in the Hollywood hills. Until then, there is always summer 2008 to get ramped up for. Not to get all depressing, but my friend at work was talking about this guy he heard on NPR, breaking down the remaining time in his life, in terms of summers. He decided to move somewhere warm when in his early 40s because he really enjoyed summer. He was like, I’m only going to have about 15 or 16 summers that I will be young enough to really enjoy, so I may as well move somewhere that it is warm year round. I have to say that sometime I find myself leaning in that direction. I do love the winter, but only when there are mountains easily accessible for winter sports (not currently the case for me). Anyway, there are a few things that I have to look forward to this summer. First, my youngest sister is getting married in UT, in May (probably not technically summer, but I’m lobbing it in there). After that, I will be going to family reunions, back to back, both in UT. The first will be with my family at Moon Lake, in the Uinta mountains. After that we go to the Palmer Reunion (Reagan’s mom’s side of the fam) in southern UT. It should be a really good time. Other events of note are: LI marathon. I’m not running the whole thing this year, but I think that I’m going to do the half marathon with some people from church, since Reagan will be out of town that weekend (early May). Then the Chase Corporate Challenge is in June. Now if we can just get some warm weather.

That summer thing is a wild idea. Hmmm–gets me thinking.

Ooooo. I wasn’t aware of any Costa Rica trip. I will be sure to pencil that in.
