As I'm sure most who regularly read this blog have discerned, it has been a bit crazy for the past couple of days, resulting in a lack of fresh blogitude. Thanks, Carl for giving me the motivation to sit down and fire off a post. Starting with the weekend, things were a little crazier than usual. Then, for some reason, Monday was an insanely busy day at work. Of course the week that we are trying to get rady to leave for Puerto Rico, things swing back inti full motion. Anyway, I ended up taking the rest of the week off to spend with Reagan and Piper. We have also been able to finally start to get our house back in order, so that we can actually leave.
It has been really awesome to be able to visit Piper during the week. Both yesterday and today we have been able to see her working with her occupational therapist. We took some video of it that I will try to get posted before we leave. It is amazing to see how much progress Piper has made even in the short couple of weeks that she has been here. I'm almost buying into the idea that she might be able to come home someday. Above is a picture of her that I just took. She is till getting cuter all the time.
It has also been nice to focus on how important my family is to me. I feel like it is so easy in a fast paced competitive society to lose focus and take things for granted. When given an opportunity to step back for a moment and refocus, it becomes apparent that there is no way it would even be possible to function in this cut-throat rat race, without the amazing qualities of my family and close friends.
As for Moto GP, it was a very exiting race. Stoner wnet off the course early, but still managed to finish 11th. Dani Pedrosa, another Spaniard pulled off a convining win with Rossi in second, Lorenzo third and Hayden fourth. Lorenzo is definitely continuing to impress with podium finishes for his first two races in the GP class.
