Last night I finished up work at a pretty reasonable hour, so Reagan invited me to dinner at Brother Jimmy’s BBQ. We both love that place and it isn’t too far from her work. So I went up to meet her and waited in her salon as she finished her last appointment. It was pretty fun to see her at work. Anyway, we walked over to Bro. Jimmy’s and it was totally packed, because of March Madness. So we went to this little pub across the street and down the block a little. We both ordered burgers. Reagan got the veggie burger. I was quickly scanning the menu’s burger list for something that looked different/good. I saw one that said it had jalepenos, jack cheese etc. It was called the southwest burger. So I shut my menu and ordered it. We were both starving. When our food came out, Reagan’s looked like a normal veggie burger, piled high with avacado, tomato etc. Mine looked like a round burrito. At first I was like “uh oh, what did I order?” I started eating it and it was delicious. They had just put the burger and all of the stuff in a tortilla, folded it up and grilled it. They call it the southwest burger, I call it the burriger. Why didn’t I ever think of this before? It is genius, combining two of my favorite foods. I think that I’m going to try to make my own, some time.
On a totally unrelated, yet quasi-easter-themed note, I saw someone with peeps today on the train. Peeps are pretty much the cornerstone of what candy should be. Whipped sugar, coated in sugar. Anyway, it reminded me of a funny story from when I first met Reagan. She was working for this family in Garden City as a nanny. It was kind of near easter. Either, one of the kids she watched was having a birthday, or she was just making an easter cake. Anyway, she made this cake and decorated it with peeps. It was so freaking awesome. Now that It think about it, it must have been someone’s birthday, because decorating an easter cake with peeps would have made too much sense. So Reagan gave the cake to the kids and they ate all of the peeps, but none of the cake.

That burger sounds like a genius burger!
Jessie eats veggie burgers wrapped up in tortillas with jalepenos all of the time. He should open up a resturant and get rich.
Come to think of it, Jessie eats most everything wrapped up in tortillas with jalepenos on all of the time. I think he is part Mexican.
Maybe Reagan should open up a restaurant that serves peeps cakes and get rich.
I concur with all of the above
Yeah, I pretty much love anything wrapped in a tortilla with jalepenos, even ramen noodles.
peeps might even be good in a tortilla if you melted them a bit in the microwave.
Hahaha, how come you guys have been holding out on sharing this secret for so long?
