It was so nice to go visit Piper today, and get the sense that she is very content. It makes it so much easier to entrust her to the people at her new hostpital when we can tell by her demeanor that she is pretty much loving it there. Reagan dressed her up in an easter outfit that Mimi gave her. I think that she liked it. She was a bit baffled by the mittens, but ultimately still found her hands very entertaining, even when she was wearing them. We also showed her the toys that the smoots gave her (a set of pink wooden percussion toys). We knew that she would love them, but we didn’t expect her to go nuts the way that she did. One of the toys has little bells all over it. The first time Reagan shook it for her, I had never seen Piper act like that. She started squirming all over and waving her arms. It was so cute. We tried to film it, but I think that she was over her initial amazement by the time that we got the camera out. Anyway, we are so happy that Piper seems to be doing so great.

I am loving this picture
It’s good to hear that Piper is comfortable in her new place. You know, it seems to always work that way with our kids too- they do something cute, you get the camera/video camera, they stop. I guess that’s part of what makes being a parent so cool- you get to be there for all of that stuff- even if you don’t get to record it.
Dang your little girl is cute! I am glad she likes her surroundings 🙂
