I recieved a call this afternoon from Piper’s social worker at Columbia. She said that a bed has become available at Children’s Specialized in New Brunswick NJ. This is very bittersweet news. As always, we are happy that Piper is doing so well and will now have an opportunity to make progress, but at the same time, we are sad that she is leaving her friends at Columbia, and that the geographic distance between us and Piper will be so large, once again. Right now, Columbia is just waiting for permission from our insurance company, after which they can schedule a transport for Wednesday Morning.
