Back to the grind

I love long weekends. Sometimes it feels like they are shorter than normal ones though. This last one turned out to be fairly eventful. I guess time flies when you are having fun. Saturday Reagan and I took a ride up to Blythedale to retrieve Piper’s personal items. It went pretty smoothly, except for that the group working the weekend, didn’t know where her stroller was. So we are going to have to go up again next weekend to get the stroller. Saturday night we hung out with Doug and Tamara. We showed up just in time to polish off the rest of a dinner that one of their thoughtful friends had brought them, so that Tamara could take it easy, since she is currently in a fragile state. It was a super classy move on our part. In fact, if anyone else needs some people to help take advantage of the generosity of others, feel free to drop me a line, we will definitely try to help. I also managed to cram 6 of the smaller sized york patties into my mouth all at once, and successfully eat them without vomiting.

Sunday I had a nice visit with Piper, then spent the afternoon at Keith’s new pad. He recently moved to Jersey city. It was a pretty cool spot. He lives right on the water, and right down the street from a skate park. We also took his new ride for a spin. He just picked up a new S5 at the end of December and I hadn’t seen it yet. It was really fun.

Monday, since Reagan had to work, Doug and I did some Presidents’ Day shopping. We went to Long Island and spent most of the time at the nerd store. We bought matching monitors and hard drives, hahahaha. We also took a little pit stop at the fish store. Initially I was just picking up some filter media for Napoleon (since it looks like he is still going to be around for a while). When I got there, everything was half off. So I got some new tank mates for Napoleon, and for the homies in the kitchen. For Napoleon, I got 3 jack dempseys. They are still fairly small, but I think that they should be ok with him, since there are 3. So far they have been fine. Monday night, I picked Reagan up for work, then we went out to dinner. The place we originally wanted to go, turned out to be closed on Mondays. So we went to a tapas place instead. It was pretty tasty. Afterwards we hung out with Piper for a while. It turned out to be a pretty nice day (even though it was really rainy).
