Reagan and I woke up before the crack of dawn this morning. In fact, we were already on the Jersey Turnpike in time to watch the sun come up. We toured a place called Childrens Specialized in New Brunswick. After the tour we decided that it would be a much better fit for Piper. There are a couple of snags. It is a lot farther away from us, it is apparently out of network for our insurance, and there is a waiting list for vent beds. We hope to be able to work around all of this. If we can get Piper qualified for a special type of medicaid, then she may not need our insurance there. Fingers crossed, it will all work out. I hope that Reagan isn’t late for work. She had to take the train from the financial district, because we came straight through the tunnel to my work, after the visit. Good luck Gerb.

That hospital looks like it might be the right one for Piper. I read the testimonials from some of the parents who had really sick kids. Keep me posted on what happens next.
